Goldenfields Water has a responsibility to maintain a register of contracts under the Government Information Public Access Act 2009 ('GIPA Act'). Therefore contracts with an estimated value of $150,000 or more are to be made publicly available.
There are three classes of contract, as detailed below:
Contracts are those that have, or are likely to have, a value of $150,000 or more.
Contracts where there has not been a public tender process and the terms and conditions of the contract have been negotiated directly with the contractor, or the contract was the subject of a tender (public or not) but the terms have been substantially negotiated with the contractor; the obligations of one or more parties to maintain or operated infrastructure or assets; could continue for ten years or more, and the contract involves a privately financed project or the exchange of significant assets.
Contracts that are Class 2 and have a value of more than $5 million.
