Goldenfields Water completed Stage 3 construction of the Mandamah Rural Water Supply Scheme last week and have commenced work on the fourth and final stage.

General Manager for Goldenfields Water, Aaron Drenovski, said the project is tracking approximately six months ahead of schedule and under budget.

“Stage 3 included approximately 45km of pipeline and connects back into stage 1, creating a full reticulated water supply system between stages 1, 2 and 3.

Meters, backflow devices, pressure testing and disinfection has all been completed for stage 3 and we look forward to connecting the additional 15 customers.”

Stage 4 will be a standalone stage, coming off the Thanowring Road main trunk line, approximately 5 kilometres before the Ariah Park turnoff on the Burley Griffin Highway, heading west to service properties near Walkers Lane.

Stage 4 will consist of 11km of pipeline and is anticipated to be completed by late December 2021.

The Mandamah Rural Water Supply Scheme project commenced in November 2017 and will expand the region’s supply network by 180 kilometres, delivering a secure water source to approximately 75 local farmers in the Mandamah region.
