Goldenfields Water would like to advise customers in West Wyalong and Wyalong that there will be reduced water pressure on Thursday 24th August, from 8am – 4pm whilst essential upgrades take place on the West Wyalong Terminal Reservoir.

The reduced pressure will affect all customers and businesses within the two townships and possibly a small number of customers located close to the reservoir site will experience a water outage.

Goldenfields Water will be connecting the new reservoir and pump station to the existing water supply system, as part of the $12.5 million West Wyalong Water Reliability Project.

The reduction in water pressure will depend on locality of the premise to the reservoir site and customers should be mindful of their water consumption during the works.  They should avoid washing and store enough water for their needs.

Temporary discoloured water may be detected when the water pressure is restored.  Customers are encouraged to check their water quality from the tap nearest to the water meter prior to use.

If discoloured water is detected, customers should run the tap until the water clears. If the water doesn’t clear, residents should notify Goldenfields Water immediately on 6977 3200 (during business hours) or 1800 800 917 (during afterhours).

For further information about these works, please contact Goldenfields Water.

Goldenfields Water thank all affected customers for their patience and cooperation whilst these essential works are completed.
