Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities to Councillors Policy
In accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Act 1993, Council has prepared its Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities to Councillors Policy, consistent with the Local Government Act 1993 and the Local Government Regulations 2021.
Before adopting the policy, under section 253(1) of the Act Council is required to give public notice of its intention to adopt or amend a policy for the payment of expenses and provision of facilities allowing at least 28 days for the making of public submissions.

PP019 Code of Meeting Practice
The Model Code of Meeting Practice for Local Councils in NSW prescribes a uniform set of meeting rules for councils across NSW to ensure meetings of councils and committees of councils comprising only of councillors are open, accessible, orderly, effective and efficient. The new 2025 Model Code of Meeting Practice for Local Councils in NSW has been prescribed.
Councils are required to consult with their communities prior to adopting a code of meeting practice. Our code has been updated in line with the new mandatory provisions.
