Oura - Junee, Thursday 12th October 2023, between 6am - 7pm.
Residents located between the Oura Pumping Station and Junee will experience a water outage on Thursday 12 October 2023 for a two - four hour period between 6am and 7pm.
Goldenfields Water will be conducting their annual pipeline cleaning between the above two locations, resulting in a disrupted water supply for residents located on this route. The time of the disruption will depend on the proximity of your connection to the Oura Pumping Station. Connections closer to the pumping station will be affected first and; first to have water supply reinstated. As the cleaning device moves towards Junee, services will be affected progressively.
Your water service will be shut off by Goldenfields Water staff as the cleaning device approaches your connection. Your service will be restored after the device passes to prevent any discoloured water entering your pipes.
What you need to do during planned water works
- Store enough water for your needs, keep all taps closed and refrain from flushing toilets during the outage
- When water supply is restored, you may temporarily experience discoloured water. Check your water quality and run the tap closest to the water meter for a few minutes before drinking or washing laundry. If discoloured water is detected, continue to run your tap until the water clears. If the water doesn’t clear, notify us immediately.
