Competitive pay and benefits
We offer competitive salaries that are consistently above the industry average, with annual salary increases in place for the next three (3) years, effective from 1 July in line with our Award. Employees also receive 17.5% superannuation paid to a fund of their choice and leaseback vehicles are available for eligible positions, where operationally required.
Work–life balance
We offer:
- Nine‑day fortnight – Full‑time employees enjoy a regular RDO, supporting wellbeing and work–life balance
- Flexible work arrangements – A range of flexible options are available, balanced with business and operational needs
Leave entitlements, including:
- Annual leave – Four (4) weeks of annual leave per service year, increasing to five (5) weeks from the first full pay period after 1 July 2026Long service leave – Available after five (5) years of service and transferable between NSW local government organisations
- Personal leave – Up to three (3) weeks per year for sick and carer’s leave
- Health and wellbeing leave – Two (2) paid days per calendar year to participate in health or wellbeing activities
- Paid parental leave – Includes up to 18 weeks of make‑up pay to the government funded parental leave scheme, superannuation (SGL) paid during continuous unpaid parental leave, and 10 days of paid supporting parent leave
- Other leave – Including bereavement leave and additional entitlements under our Award
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – Free, confidential counselling for employees and their immediate family members
Professional Development
We support professional development through structured goal setting, regular feedback, and annual skills reviews to identify training and development opportunities. Education assistance is available for approved study, including financial support and paid exam leave, alongside rewards and recognition programs that celebrate outstanding performance and long‑term service.
