Section 603 Certificate & Special Meter Reading Certificate

A Section 603 Certificate, issued under the Local Government Act 1993, advises the amount (if any) due or payable to Council on a parcel of land by way of rates, charges, or otherwise.

It is recommended that a Section 603 Certificate be obtained for the property prior to requesting a Special Meter Reading, if this has not already been done. This helps ensure that all outstanding charges on the account are identified before proceeding.

If you are selling your property, your solicitor will usually arrange for this certificate to be obtained on your behalf.

  • Please allow up to 10 working days for all other applications.
