We are thrilled to announce that Bailey Lowes, one of Goldenfields fitter/machinist apprentices, was announced as the Riverina Region Apprentice of the Year at the NSW Training Awards 2025 on Thursday 19th June. Goldenfields Water Chairman, Alan White commented “We are all incredibly proud of Bailey and feel very lucky to have him with us at Goldenfields Water. As an organisation we are committed to investing in the growth and development of young people. We are very grateful for the mentorship, care and investment that our team provides to all our trainees.”

This follows his incredible feat at the National Title competition for the best Fitter Apprentice in Australia. After a week of intense competition in Brisbane, Bailey proudly walked away with a bronze medal. This is a remarkable achievement, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Bailey!

Bailey’s supervisor, Shane Baldry, expressed his admiration, saying, ‘’I’m not surprised that Bailey has gone so far but I’m glad he has been recognised for the effort he put in, his self motivation, and the attitude and pride he brings to every job. Bailey is already a role model for others. Bailey is a great young man and it will be interesting to see where his career ends up.’’

Adding to his accolades, Bailey had the honor of being the flag bearer for NSW at the opening ceremony, showcasing his leadership and role model qualities. The WorldSkills Competition, attended by over 30,000 people, also featured an interactive careers expo, making Bailey’s achievement even more significant.

Congratulations once again to Bailey Lowes for his dedication and hard work. He has truly set an example for others to follow.
