Coolamon Urban Reticulation Water Mains Renewal
Published on 02 June 2025
Goldenfields Water are replacing approximately 15km to 20km of urban reticulation water pipeline mains throughout Coolamon. The works are being undertaken as part of our annual $1 million-dollar commitment to urban reticulation pipeline renewals to replace all aged infrastructure installed around the 1940’s, that is now over 80 years old.
The work within Coolamon commenced in 2023 with construction being undertaken in house by Goldenfields Water construction staff who will be replacing water mains, stop valves, services, and hydrants. The works are being managed around other priority works in different locations and is expected to continue into 2026.
The benefits of these renewals include replacing pipelines at the end of their usable asset life which will decrease supply interruptions and assist with upcoming planned system cleansing to reduce discoloured water occurrences.
Chairperson for Goldenfields Water, Mr Alan White said, “these urban renewals are going to be highly beneficial for our customers located in Coolamon to ensure reliability of the pipe network.”
Customers in Coolamon will receive prior notification for any planned outages as part of renewal construction works and should any customer have concerns during these works it’s recommended to contact our office on (02) 6977 3200.
