Goldenfields Water is aware that many residents of Temora have started to experience discoloured water within the past week.

Currently, Goldenfields Water is undertaking the task of upgrading the electrical system and associated pipework at the Temora Pump Station to maintain water reliability in the area. The works will provide the ability for operators to better monitor and control the water supply to Temora Shire residents.

Originally it was not anticipated for the works to interfere with the towns water supply, however due to unforeseen circumstances some customers are now experiencing bouts of discoloured water.

Upgrade works are expected to be completed within the next 4 weeks, during which time customers may continue to experience bouts of discoloured water. As per the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, this water is safe to drink despite its appearance in colour.

Should customers experience discoloured water, Goldenfields Water asks that the affected customers run at least two taps for two to three minutes until the water clears. If the water does not clear, call us immediately on (02) 6977 3200 or after hours on 1800 800 917.

Please do not wash clothes until you have checked your water quality as discoloured water can stain white laundry.

Goldenfields Water wishes to apologise for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their patience and cooperation whilst the essential work is completed.
