Staff Show Expertise in Major Project Works at Oura Treatment Plant
Published on 14 August 2025
On 12 August 2025, our team successfully completed the first of three critical works as part of the ongoing Oura Pump Station and Dosing Project — a milestone that highlights the depth of talent and capability within our workforce.
The Oura Pump Station and Dosing Project is a key initiative aimed at enhancing water quality and reliability for the region. The successful completion of this phase of the works marks a major step forward in the project’s timeline and sets a strong precedent for future in-house works.
The works that were undertaken, included the removal and installation of a precise and complex arrangement of new water assets, allowing for the next phases of Goldenfields Waters’ upgrades. The works were high-risk in nature and required months of preparation. The work was executed entirely in-house by Goldenfields staff. This achievement not only ensured minimal disruption to services but also demonstrated the team's technical proficiency, planning, and commitment.
By delivering this component of the project internally, we’ve showcased the strength and versatility of our workforce, reinforcing our ability to manage and execute sophisticated infrastructure tasks without external contractors minimising associated time and costs. Our Production and Services Manager, Geoffrey Veneris commented ‘’It’s a proud moment that reflects our investment in quality training and staff and our continuous improvement within the organisation.’’
We extend our congratulations to everyone involved and look forward to sharing more milestones as the project progresses.
